After months and months of freezing cold weather and inches of snow, these past few days of sunshine and warmer weather have been an absolute dream! Being back in Cincinnati for a few days, I wanted to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather in the local parks (one of my favorite things to do when the weather gets warmer). What better way to explore than in the perfect shirt for spring!
My Outfit
I recently bought this Madewell Village stripe ruffle sleeve shirt (similar Clavin Klein’s Ruffle Sleeve Top, Sonja Betro’s Stripe Ruffle Sleeve Tunic currently less than $20! and Jolt’s ruffle sleeve top). It has turned into one of my favorite purchases so far for spring! The multi-color stripes make it fun and easy to wear. The ruffle sleeves are also just the right amount of feminine to add to every outfit! It is so light weight being made out of thinnest cotton (almost linen in feel). It the perfect shirt for spring and I’m sure I will be continuing to wear it well into the hotter summer months!
For our walk in the park, I paired this top with my spring Reformation Serena high waist skinny jeans (similar 7 For All Mankind high waist skinny jeans – a splurge for sure but these jeans are amazing!, Hudson’s Collin skinny jean and Levi’s 721 high waisted jeans). The light wash of these jeans are perfect for the summer months and I love the high waist of them! The denim is also made of such a soft stretchy material that made it easy to move throughout the trails in the park.
Since it was so nice out (70 degrees!! I couldn’t believe it), I jumped at the opportunity to wear my Paul Green Morea lace up sandals (similar less expensive Kenneth Cole Valerie Sandals and Rampage Santini Sandals currently less than $50!). These were a total surge for me last summer, but they were totally worth it! They are super comfortable and are the perfect sandal to wear with any outfit (even dressy outfits)! I ended up wearing them almost every day last spring/summer because they are so versatile!
Accessories
Not only was it hot outside (can you believe it was actually 70 degrees already?!), it was also sunny!! I wore my Tory Burch Sunglasses (old, similar Saint Laurent Kate sunglasses (on sale!), Ray Bans 56mm sunglasses and DKNY Iridium square sunglasses) which helped bring out the blue stripes in my favorite spring shirt! I love the blue color of these sunglasses because they add such a fun pop to every outfit! To finish off my look, I wore these Kate Spade Hoop Earnings (I also really love these Kate Spade Button Flower Earnings). They were classic with the pearls and gold.
It was such a fun day with the spring weather! This top made for the perfect outfit to explore the park and enjoy the beautiful sunshine!
