The best part about summer (besides being able to do fun outdoor things … see my top 10 summer bucket list items here) is being able to wear shorts, rompers, & dresses again! Luckily for this summer too, I found the best romper (under $60 too!) which is perfect for summer days! This is my guide on how to style a preppy romper …

The Best Preppy Romper

I absolutely adore this BB Dakota Romper (on sale right now for under $60!). I love the blue color with the quirky stripes giving it a preppy, but fun look. The blue and white tassels at the shoulders also add such a fun detail to the outfit. The material is a super light weight cotton making it perfect for hot days outside in the summer sun!

How does the Preppy Romper Fit:

My recommendation would be size up with this romper. I normally order a small in other rompers, but I ordered a medium and it fit perfectly.

How to Style a Preppy Romper

I try to style rompers similar to a dress in the sense you don’t have to add a ton of additional accessories to be ready for the day. For this everyday look, I added 3 accessories – a straw circle purse (under $25!), my favorite Tory Burch Sunglasses (old, similar Saint Laurent Kate sunglasses and Ray Bans 56mm sunglasses) and the most comfortable Paul Green Morea lace up sandals (similar less expensive Kenneth Cole Valerie Sandals and Rampage Santini Sandals).

The Best Summer Circle Straw Purse

Straw purses in the summer are such a fun accessory! They make you think instantly of more tropical locations and this circle purse (under $25!) is great for this season! It is the perfect size to hold everything you need for the day. I also love that it is a cross body purse which makes it so easy to explore a location without worrying about constantly holding your bag.

My Favorite Tory Burch Sunglasses

I love these blue Tory Burch Sunglasses (old, similar Saint Laurent Kate sunglasses and Ray Bans 56mm sunglasses)! They are great for spring (also worn in my 5 Spring Style Essentials), summer, & fall and the color is perfect with the blue in the romper!

The Most Comfortable Sandals

I also adore these Paul Green Morea lace up sandals! I’ve been wearing them all spring and summer long and these are so comfortable. They are a total splurge, but thankfully if they are outside your price range, there are tons of less expensive options such as these Kenneth Cole Valerie Sandals and Rampage Santini Sandals.
