Glowing Travel Skin … the 7 products I use every trip

I love traveling to new places – the excitement of meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and seeing historic landmarks. Traveling by plane however tends to wreak havoc on my skin. Between the dry air and the stress of getting to/from my destination, I started to notice after every flight my skin would be dry, dull, and uneven. And it would take days to repair … just in time for the next adventure. I decided I needed to elevate my daily routine and up the ante with moisturizers and brighteners. I wanted to arrive looking refreshed with glowing skin and ready to take on the world. Thus, I wanted to make sure that everything I selected would be travel sized (less than 3 oz) and could be easily used on a plane (i.e. easy to apply without water). After multiple different trials, I settled on the following 7 products …

Details:

Sephora Face Sheet Mask in Pearl Brightening, Sephora Eye Sheet Mask in Pearl Brightening, Sephora Cleansing & Exfoliating Wipes in Coconut Water, Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, Tatcha Silk Cream, Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum, Dior Lip Glow

Step 1: Cleansing

Most of the time, I would be running from the office to the airport with little time to remove my make-up. In order to avoid clogged pores, I needed to clean off my make-up from the day. These Sephora Cleansing & Exfoliating Wipes in Coconut Water were the perfect solution. The wipes take off every last bit of make-up with no mess and leave my skin feel freshly cleansed.

Step 2: Brightening Masks

Masks are an every day essential for me. Normally though my masks come out of a jar (my favorite is Boscia’s Matcha mask) and require a wash cloth to remove. This is not an option while on a plane, so I turn instead to the Sephora Face Sheet Mask in Pearl Brightening and combine it with the Sephora Eye Sheet Mask in Pearl Brightening. I pop them on about 45 minutes prior to landing and my skin looks even in tone and brighter than even before I boarded the airplane. For an added bonus, I apply Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask at the start of the flight to keep my lips moisturized throughout.

Step 3: Moisturing Creams

To finish out my routine, I add extra moisturizer with some pink lip gloss for the last 15 minutes of every flight. I first use Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum and then top it off with Tatcha Silk Cream for my face. These leave my skin dewy fresh. To finish it off, I use Dior Lip Glow in pink (it adjusts to the perfect pink for your skin so you look put together without any additional makeup). These together revitalize my skin and have it glowing before I land.
